I am a Phd candidate in the Department of Computer Science at Waseda University. I am advised by Professor Tatsuo Nakajima. I am also working as a research associate for the Research Institute of Open Source Software, Waseda University, affiliated with DEOS (Dependable Embedded Operating Systems for Practical Use) Project from Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST).

My research focus on the software supporting realible systems, including infrastructure, system integrity and networking. I am also in monitoring, evaluating and measuring such systems. Currently I am working on the design and implementing of a system monitor based on L4 microkernel.

I am affiliated with the Operating System Research Group of Distributed and Ubiquitous Computing Lab.My office is at Room 525 Bld.63, 3-4-1 Okubo, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo, 169-8555.
You can best reach me via e-mail: sunlei(at)dcl.info.waseda.ac.jp

I received my Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) and Master of Engineering (M.E.) degree in the Department of Computer Science and Technology from Tsinghua University P.R.China, in July 2001 and January 2004 respectively.

Since January 2004 I joined LSI Logic Beijing R&D Center as a system engineer. After about two years development on the embedded system, I joined OSRG as a doctoral student since April 2006. Great thanks to the Yoshida Scholarship Foundation Asia 100 Program, which sponsored my Phd study.
