Co-located with 12th IEEE International Symposium on Object/component/service-oriented Real-time distributed Computing (ISORC 2009)
Distributed systems are now common and familiar, and support everyday life from considerable aspects. For better convenience, security, and safety, many challenges should be addressed such as effective usage of distributed systems, and improvement on dependability. STFSSD 2009 is a newly held workshop on software technologies to tackle these research topics. This workshop is organized to provide opportunities for researchers in all the communities to exchange ideas, findings, and plans for upcoming projects.
STFSSD 2009 welcomes paper submissions on innovative research work in both academia and industry, as well as work-in-progress papers or case studies related to dependable and distributed systems. Especially, submissions from young researchers, or status reports of recent projects are highly encouraged.
The topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
| Paper submission | |

STFSSD 2009 invites authors to submit original and unpublished work. Submissions should include abstract, keywords, and e-mail address of the corresponding author. Each submission must be in PDF format, and should not exceed 5 pages in the IEEE 8.5"x11" two-column format including tables, figures, and references. Format instructions are available at IEEE site.
All the submitted papers will be reviewed on the basis of technical quality, relevance, significance, and clarity. Accepted papers will be published in the workshop proceedings by IEEE Computer Society Press. At least one of the authors of each accepted paper must attend the workshop to present the work.
Submissions should be done electrically at the paper submission site by EasyChair.
STFSSD 2009 will be held at Okubo Campus of Waseda University in Takadanobaba, Tokyo, Japan. Maps and directions are available at Waseda University site.
Access information from Narita international airport is available at Airport Access Information in Narita international airport official website. Ikebukuro, Shinjuku, and Shibuya are the major stations close to Waseda University.
