Research group
Our daily lives become more complex and stressful - most of time is spent in commuting, working, finding something, paper work, many boring meetings... We like to use our time for more exciting activities, because our daily lives become busier every year.
We are exploring solutions for the issue with information and communicaiton technologies. Two research areas are focused in our work, and our laboratory consists from corresponding two research groups: AmI (Ambient intelligence) group and OSRG (Operating system research) group
Ambient Intelligence Group (AmI)
Operating System Research Group (OSRG)
Our research topics are twofold. First one is the operating system that utilizes highly-distributed computing resources. The other one is the large-scale computing system that collects and analyzes numerous informations.
Highly-Distributed Operating System
We study the highly-distributed operating system for 100+ processors. We consider how our lives can be improved by utilizing them. Especially, we have strong interests in achieving low-power consumption, high-reliability, and high-security.
Information Collecting and Analyzing System
Also, we study the information collecting and analyzing system that utilizes numerous informations on the Internet. We consider how our lives become more abundant by exploiting them. In particular, we mainly focus on the way to collect and analyze informations and the new service that utilizes these informations.
